Robert Irwin Drops the Khakis and His DMs Are Flooded

Where's the most dangerous game to be found? According to Steve Irwin's son Robert - a TV personality and conservationist like his famous father - it's his DMs.
The 21-year-old stunned the world with a sizzling photoshoot for Bonds underwear last month to promote the brand's American launch. Irwin displayed his well-defined physique along with a menagerie of exotic creatures, including spiders, snakes, and reptiles.
People Magazine reported on the images at the time, and the outlet caught up with Irwin in Las Vegas for a followup chat at the Steve Irwin Gala over the weekend.
"Oh my gosh," Irwin told People. "The DMs are a dangerous place right now," he added, before joking: "I have been giving the DMs a wide berth."
One can only imagine the content of young Robert's DMs, given the steamy responses the images received when Bonds posted them on Instagram.
"Rob my wife is on instagram, mate," one person lamented. "Please."
Gasped another: "Holieee hell 😳 i am all Blushing.. boy put yo ur shirt on I knew ur dad ... 👀😂".
Joked another: "My mom says I'm not allowed to comment on this imagery. 😮❤️," while another respondent wondered, "Which snake are we supposed to be looking at".
More seriously, Irwin went on to say, "I very much appreciate everyone listening to my message," which he explained has "always been about animal conservation, positivity, all of that," and which, in the wake of the response he's had to the photo shoot is also "now health and fitness..."
Irwin continued, saying, "everything I do is to reach a new audience, is to get that message out there, and hopefully to create my own legacy while carrying on a legacy that is so incredibly important to me" - a reference, no doubt, to the work of his father.
When it comes to matters of legacy, Irwin has struck off in a direction his father never had; the young celebrity conservationist noted, "I always thought wildlife documentaries would be... how I reach an audience to get the message out, never, ever in my wildest dreams did I think being in my undies would do it, as well."
Quipped Irwin: "Every time I walk in a room, they say, 'Oh, it's nice to see you with clothes on this time.'"
