25-year-old influencer and OnlyFans creator Chris Stanley and "Survivor" alum Bret LaBelle, 51, are no longer a couple. "Sometimes it just doesn't work out, and that's OK," Stanley said in a YouTube video.

LaBelle had already posted to Instagram about the split. "Sometimes love means letting go," the reality show star, who also featured on "The Amazing Race," posted on April 28. "Chris and I have shared so many memories, laughter, and growth together, and I will always be grateful for that."

"While our paths are now going in different directions, the care and respect remain," LaBelle added. "Wishing him nothing but happiness, love, and success on his journey. Thank you for the memories."

"Yes, we broke up," Stanley confirmed on his own IG on April 30. "Some good things don't last forever, but that doesn't make them any less special."

"I'll always be grateful for the memories and the love Bret and I shared," Stanley posted. "Wishing him all the happiness in the world as we move forward on our own paths. ❤️ More details on my YT".

Indeed, there were more details in a video Stanley posed to YouTube. "Yeah, it's true," the influencer reconfirmed. "Brett and I did break up a few months ago."

After he "took some off to reflect on everything, and to decompress," Stanley decided to tell the story on his own terms.

"I'm sure many of you guys want to know what, exactly, happened, or what went wrong," Stanley went on to acknowledge. Saying he was "not really here to spill tea, point fingers, or, like, talk about some drama," the social media star revealed that "nothing really happened."

"We're still on good terms," Stanley added, before suggesting he might have more to say about the break "when it's not still kind of fresh."

The influencer pointed out that his audience "only saw what was on social media, and obviously there's more to it than that." Even so, he disclosed, "At least, for me, what happened is we kind of just grew apart."

The two had been a couple for "like, four years," the OnlyFans creator - whose account on that platform is "PG-13," and not explicit - noted.

In a timeline of the couple's relationship, Us Magazine recalled that LaBelle - a Boston police officer - had come out in 2016, during the course of "Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X." In 2020, "Stanley sent LaBelle a message via Instagram amid the coronavirus pandemic, and they quickly hit it off," the writeup added, noting that the couple were not "Instagram official" until January of 2023. A few months later, in April of 2023, they "started the joint @ChrisAndBret Instagram page to chronicle their relationship milestones."

That Christmas, "When LaBelle and Stanley went to pick out their Christmas tree, a store employee mistakenly thought they were father and son," the magazine recalled.

That wasn't the only time their age difference caused people to make the wrong assumptions. Us recalled Stanley discussing how LaBelle was sometimes mistaken as being his "sugar daddy."

Others displayed a more hostile set of biases. "Sometimes people make the outrageous claim that I was 'groomed' or something, which not only isn't the case," Us recalled Stanley saying, before setting the record straight with, "in reality, I am the one who pursued him."

Fans and friends reached out with supportive messages in the wake of the breakup posts.

"This is sad to hear, but also so glad you guys remained friends, this is common in Gay world and a good thing!" responded filmmaker and novelist Matthew Francis. "Proud of you both and the next stage of life you will both get to experience. 😌"

Out podcaster Art Bezrukavenko sent LaBelle a string of hearts, while fellow reality show star Dash Katz of "Squid Game: The Challenge" sent a bandaged heart emoji and the message, "Love yall," while "Big Brother" contestant Derek Frazier wrote in with, "😢 I love you both ❤️".
