Global pop icon Beyoncé has completed her Renaissance World Tour, but the last song hasn't played quite yet. There's a concert film on the way, and the trailer dropped right after the tour finished up Oct. 1, People Magazine reported.
Faster than a dance floor jam, the film is speeding to theaters for a Dec. 1 release. The trailer dropped "[s]hortly after the last stop of the tour concluded in Kansas City, Missouri, on Sunday night," People Mag detailed.
Titled "Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé," the project "accentuates the journey of Renaissance World Tour, from its inception, to the opening in Stockholm, Sweden, to the finale in Kansas City, Missouri," the magazine noted, quoting from a synopsis for the film.
"It is about Beyoncé's intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy, and master her craft," the synopsis said.
"Received with extraordinary acclaim, Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour created a sanctuary for freedom, and shared joy, for more than 2.7 million fans."
Variety reported last week that the film was in "talks to distribute directly to AMC Theatres," and noted that the film is a project "the icon has been developing for years – one that would include elements of her top-grossing 2023 live shows, parts of the long-gestating visual album 'Renaissance' and a documentary-style account of making the record and building out the tour..."
Deadline cited "reports that Beyonce shot Renaissance World Tour in her hometown of Houston, TX back in late September for two days."
"Beyoncé kicked off her Renaissance World Tour at the Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden, earlier this year, marking her first solo concert outing in seven years," People Mag said in an earlier article. "The event's set list features various songs from her seventh studio album Renaissance, such as 'Alien Superstar,' 'Cuff It,' 'Pure/Honey' and 'Plastic Off the Sofa.'"
"It also features numerous hits that showcase Beyoncé's decades-long career," People Mag added, "including 'Crazy in Love,' 'Partition' and 'Love on Top.'"
The magazine went on to say that the pop legend welcomed a special guest for some songs: her "11-year-old daughter Blue Ivy," who took to the stage alongside her mother "for performances of her songs 'My Power' and 'Black Parade.'"
