NYC Pride Names Im Lynde as New Executive Director

NYC Pride | Heritage of Pride, the nonprofit behind NYC’s official LGBTQIA+ Pride events, announces Im Lynde (he/him/his) as its new Executive Director. Lynde, an accomplished fundraising and non-profit leader, makes history as the first Asian-American to lead NYC Pride - one of the world’s most iconic LGBTQIA+ Pride organizations.
“I am deeply honored and grateful to have been selected by the Board of Directors to lead and grow NYC Pride, which ignited a global movement nearly 57 years ago, “New York City is the birthplace of the queer liberation movement, and we will continue to fight for equality, justice, visibility, care, protection and safety for all LGBTQIA+ people in New York and around the world - year-round and not just during Pride month.
Lynde brings more than 20 years of experience in development, LGBTQIA+ philanthropy, and non-profit management to NYC Pride. Previously, Im served as a Regional Vice President at Caron Treatment Centers and as the Chief Development Officer for the Urban Resource Institute.
As the Executive Director, Im will lead the team organizing NYC’s official LGBTQIA+ Pride events, including the iconic NYC Pride March. In the role, Im will work to ensure NYC Pride remains a dynamic, inclusive celebration of LGBTIA+ Pride for years to come, strengthening its financial health and deepening its engagement and impact in the community year-round.
