The Oscar nominations really did not have a strong gay presence - in fact, in this very gay past year, no major character - save for the villain in "Skyfall" - is LGBT in Hollywood releases. And of the nominees, in the major categories, only playwright Tony Kushner is out. Still, gay connections can be made, so we thought it might be fun to make some. So, here is Oscars: The Six Degrees of LGBT Separation.
